a new platform to document encounterings of both wit and whimsy (and all of the so-called in betweens)

after nearly four years on the adolescent-crazed tumblr media platform we’ve all come to be infatuated with at some point or another, i’ve decided to become a little more solidified as a blogger by switching to a site that i have more independence and lenience on to share my own world with the rest of the world on the wires. so, here we are, blogger. i’m kayleigh a. myer, a sixteen year old filmmaker, experimental writer, analog photo enthusiast, and burgeoning human being originally from a town just outside of the beatnik haven itself – woodstock, new york. as of this fall, i left my admirable, kindred, and sincerely soul-altering independent school in upstate new york after my sophomore year of high school to attend college as a freshman in the berkshires at bard college at simon’s rock. here, i’ve been delving around the edges of courses surrounding literature, analog photo, humanities, and a few arbitrary others here and there to supplement my thoughts and inspiration towards making a living out of being an independent filmmaker. my objective with this blog is to have an organized platform for which my creative work can be displayed, as well as a place to document my experiences and perception of subsistence and self-development – thanks to the people that i am able to surround myself with and the artful livelihood they have to share with me. in essence, i really wish that this blog were here when a multitude of occurrences were in their prime – so, perhaps expect the occasional outburst of nostalgia. i suppose this will do for a hopeful introduction!
capture the incoming winter with much lust and spontaneity!
